Hi, I’m Carla. I’m a twenty-something blogger, maker, talker and dreamer with a portfolio career – more on that later! I blog and tweet about my crafty life, my my petrolheadedness, my shop, my addiction to burlesque, vintage, thrifting and beauty products – and my random thoughts too! I’m also a proud Free Range Human and a classic scanner so am constantly trying new things and looking at new ideas… it makes life muchly interesting. I escaped the City in October 2012 and am now living a life I have chosen and love, rather than the one people think I should be living.
So what’s in my portfolio career?
I have a ‘normal’ job at the University of Essex, working with web, publicity and promotions there. I adore it!
I am co-founder and co-director of Ink Drops stationery subscription boxes, launched November 2012.
I co-own and run Project Pin Up, which is in the middle of a revamp and will relaunch next year – watch this space!
I have several other projects in development, including a rework of the craft collective I used to run, a photography project/business and an online vintage shop :)
I love to make things and to read, to dance and blog and rollerskate and cycle. I collect model horses and typewriters, the love of my life is a Toyota MR2, and I’m rarely to be found without a camera or a notebook in my hand. I take burlesque classes and daydream…
An ‘A-Z of me’ meme can be found here, in case you’d like to know a bit more…
Thank you for visiting – please comment, visit me at my other online homes or drop me a line if the mood takes you, it’s always lovely to hear from people, old and new :)
